Registration

Welcome to Invergarry Adult Education Centre

2026-2027 School Year

If you are NEW to education in BC:

  • You will need to complete an assessment before you can register.  We do not accept assessments or report cards from LINC, ACCESS, ESL CLB programs
  • DO NOT call or come to the school for an assessment appointment, this is done through our assessment lottery.

Registering for grade 11 or 12 academic classes:

  • Registration for the remaining seats for academic classes will now be completed in person.  A lot of the academic classes are full but there are still some spaces in select classes.  Come in to check to see if we have space for the class/es you are wanting.
  • Please ensure that you bring proof of previous schooling in BC and proof of pre requisites for the academic class you hope to register for (Ex. Proof of completing chemistry 11 to register for chemistry 12, proof of completing English 11 to register for English studies 12, etc).
  • All ID is required at the time of registering.

Returning student OR a student who has taken Foundations English or Math with another district:

  • Please make sure you bring your last report card from your previous school along with the required ID.  Without these, we cannot register you and you will have to return when you have those.

Assessments:

The assessment lottery will open on October 15th at 9am and close on October 16th at 12pm. Click the link below to enter.

If you are new to education in BC and have never attended another school in Canada, you will need to do the assessment before you can register.

Due to the immense increase in the need for both English and Math assessments we have decided to open up more spots for assessments. These spots will be chosen by a lottery system where you will submit your name and we will randomly choose students for English assessments and Math assessments. The dates of the assessments may be in late October or later November.

Please remember that the assessment will take up to 3 hours (or less) and you must present all identification needed for applying at the time of your assessment. The lottery application will close on October 16th at 12pm.

You will be notified by email so please ensure that you are checking your "junk" folder in case it goes there. You must also respond to the email to accept your assessment spot by the due date given in the email, or it will be given to someone else and your name will be removed out of the lottery pool.

if you do not get an email, this means that you will remain in the pool until our next round of assessments. Only successful students will have been emailed and given a date for assessments.

Please go to /invergarryadulted/registration if you would like to see what documents are needed for registration.

This application will open on October 15th at 9 am and closes on October 16th at 12 pm.

Academic Advising:

  • If you have completed schooling in another country and you would to see if any of those courses can help you here at Invergarry, please come in with your transcript/report cards and see our academic advisor.  You do not need an appointment, you may have to wait until the advisor is finished with another student.

Please note all classes are in person instruction (face to face).  Invergarry does not offer online learning.

Students MUST bring 2 pieces of proof of residency.
